Puppy Smuggling

I woke up in the middle of the night last night and turned on CNN news.

They were reporting on a story about puppies being smuggled into the United States or something like that, I'm not sure exactly, since I was half asleep. It was such a bizarre story that I had to pass this one along.

I only caught half of the story, but they mentioned something about since the puppies weren't properly given thier shots, and that since alot of them had worms , alot of the puppies were dying prematurely because of the lack of care.....authorities were forced to take action.

They had video footage of the sting operation, a secret hidden camera zoomed in on the puppy smuggler making the deal with the undercover puppy cop.

After the deal was made...about ten puppy cops all wearing black shirts with large yellow lettering on the back spelling out HUMANE SOCIETY, moved in on the unsuspecting puppy smuggler. The smuggler had the look of surprise on her face when they slapped on the handcuffs, as if she didn't know that smuggling puppies was illegal at all.

They also went to this puppy smuggler's house. The Humane Society puppy cop squad used a battering ram to break down the door, after the door was open, the camera swooped into the dark house where they discovered MORE puppies!! In cages! The horror of it all!!

If that wasn't enough to send me rolling on the floor laughing, the final scene was of a young mother holding her four year old son, a news reporter was off camera and asked the little boy a question. "So what happened to your puppy" The little boy covered his face with his hands, started crying, and then he answered, "He died".

All I can say is that it must have been a slow news day.
